armor class

This fellow definitely needs more armor.abbrev. AC; D&Dism
n., in D&D and derivative RPGs, a stat describing a character’s ability to deflect, avoid, or absorb physical punishment without taking damage or injury. Not to be confused with character class.

Addendum: In D&D, armor class is based on the type of armor worn by the character (chain mail, plate mail, leather jerkin, etc.). This stat is then modified by Strength, Dexterity, special abilities (such as dodging), magical properties, etc.
